Registration fee: $30 for 1-4 events

Divisions: Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced
We are a Kenpo style school, so that is our point of reference. If you are unsure of your skill bracket after reading the categories listed below, please contact any of the instructors at Nova Defense System, 275-7249.
Beginner: White belt- Purple belt
Intermediate: Blue belt- Brown II
Advanced: Brown III and up
Please note: If a competitor has achieved a black belt in another style than you are currently studying, he/she will be required to compete at that level in all divisions.
Age Brackets:
Age 5-8 years
Age 9-12 years
Age 13-17 years
Age 18 and up
Events available: Sparring, Kata, Weapons, Open Division (3 or more people)

6:00 p.m. Instructor meeting (Black Belts)
6:30 p.m. Competition begins (All divisions begin with youngest moving to oldest)

Required Equipment:
Regulation uniform, clearly marked school patch, groin protection (including cup), mouthpiece, properly fitted band and foot gear (bag gloves are not allowed), head protection. We encourage the following: shin protection, rib protection, full face plate for those who wear glasses or contacts and a fitted mouthpiece for those who have braces.
All participants/Adult Guardians must read the following liability agreement. You will be required to sign a liability waiver at the tournament check-in. The martial arts, like other sports, has a risk of injury involved with it. Every safety measure will be taken to ensure everyone’s safety. We recommend all participants be covered by medical/health insurance before entering our tournament. I understand and voluntarily submit my application for participation in the Nova Defense Systems Tournament and enter said competition at my own risk. Therefore, I assume full and complete responsibility for any and all damages, injuries or losses that I may sustain or incur, if any, while attending this competition. I release from all obligation and liability to myself and family, the promoters, sponsors, operator’s officials and other competitors, individuals or otherwise. I realize and acknowledge that I am solely responsible for any medical attention and treatment that I may need. I further realize that any medical attention for treatment that I may receive will only be of the first aid type while at the tournament site. I declare that I am free of any physical defects or illnesses which might prohibit competition. I agree to abide by the rules of the tournament and the final decision of the officials. I agree that any picture taken at the tournament may be used at the discretion of the promoters. I certify that the information provided is correct and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
